Zamioculcas

The native land is an island Madagascar. In culture is extended Zamiaculcas zamiifolia - evergreen tuber plant with the dark-green fleshy leaves pointed at the end. A surface of leafe is glossy. Stalks are thick, leaves sit on them symmetrically, serially. The plant is large, grows in apartment in height nearby 1-1,5 metres. Blossoms in room conditions if to give corresponding conditions of the maintenance of white flowers, but at old age. An inflorescence is an ear. It is undemanding in culture.

The temperature should be moderated, in the winter preferably 16-18 °C, but not more low than 12°C.

The light place with a diffused light is necessary. In the summer Zamioculcas prefers placing in the open air - on balcony, in the garden, etc. In the winter it's necessary to rearrange Zamioculcas more close to the window.

Watering should be moderated since spring till the autumn, but thus on the pallet there shouldn't be water, in the winter watering must be rarer, the soil should dry out well to the next watering. Zamioculcas transfers easier some redrying, than the stagnation of water in soil - it can lead to rotting of roots and formation of stem decay.

Zamioculcas doesn't demand spraying of leaves, but sometimes it is necessary to arrange washing that the plant don't become dusty and don't lose appeal. In the summer in the open air rain washing is enough.

Breeds by bush division, leafe, shanks. The leafe before landing is better to drying a little.
