Wedding Flowers

Wedding ornaments spun from the flowers which blossomed during this or that time, adding odorous mint. In winter girls made colourful flowers from paper, fabric slices. In all countries without exception it was recommended the bride to take a bouqet of flowers in hands symbolising its beauty, tenderness and innocence. In Greece more attention was given to Rose as this flower was considered as a love symbol. With petals of Roses showered newly married during wedding ceremony, with fragrant buds of Roses covered a marriage bed, with Roses decorated the house door where the bride lived.

Ancient Romans gave great value to other flower white Lily which always and was at all times a cleanliness and purity symbol. The bride has been topped by a wreath from Lilies in which wheaten ears a prosperity and fertility symbol were intertwined.

In France the veil or hair of the bride decorate with flowers of lemon, orange, fragrant flowers of tuberose, Orchids, Camellias, Roses. Also Frenchmen revered to the Lily of the valley flower of love.

What flowers to choose on wedding? After all all of them are so beautiful. And thus it would be desirable, that all of them were combined, creating a fine composition. In the different countries traditional preferences were given to some flowers and way of their composition.

In Japan hairdress of the bride decorate with Chrysanthemums. In hands she should hold the big fan with the drawn Chrysanthemums, Orchids or Camellias.

In Scandinavian countries the bride was decorated with wreath from myrtle branches. In India for this day prepare the big and small wreaths from petals of Roses.
