The name the flower has received from the Persian word "turban". And it is valid, under the form it reminds an original headdress. Its native land — Turkey. Qualities of wild-growing kinds have been here considerably improved. In 1558 Tulip has delivered to Austria, and then to Germany and England. In the beginning of a XVII-th century they have extended in Holland.

Fine flowers, happiness and pleasure symbol, became the reason of many crimes, fabulous enrichment of one and poverty of others. A lot of money were paid for bulbs of new grades.

Tulips, as well as the majority of other ornamental plants, are exacting to a food. Besides at them the root system is poorly developed.
