Gesneriaceae
The family of gesneriacous in room culture is presented in the majority of plentful-blossom plants. Advantage of this family - their big variety; many of them have the compact sizes that allows to contain houses the whole collection and as easily enough breed. Important advantage is also that gesneriacous are easily winter in room conditions.
Gesneriacous divide on two groups - with tuber and without tuber (with a rhizome). At gesneriacous, having in the winter tubers store a dormant period in dry sand in a warm place. Rhizomes as store in a warm place, but sand sometimes humidify.
