Cowslip
The plant meets almost across all Europe, including in the European part of Russia; grows also in Caucasus, in Turkey and Iran. Prefers meadows, rare woods, edges, glades. The plant is widely used in national medicine. The flowers are used in the form of broths and infusions at migraines, a neuralgia, a gout and rheumatism, at a sleeplessness, for cough. It's widely known as an ornamental plant. Prefers fertile, well drainaged soils. Loves a penumbra and plentiful watering.
Cowslip breeds by seeds, division and root shanks.
