Annual, sometimes the biannual plant of aster family in height 30-70 see the Stalk upright, in the top part the branchy. A root rod, well developed. Leaves next, pautinno-woolly, grey-green; plants dying off up the time of flowering, average and top - sedentary, linear. Blossoms since June till late autumn. Flowers are of blue, dark blue colour, is more rare azure or white. Inflorescences - the single baskets located on leaveless parts of stalks. Fruits ripen in August.
