10 Rules of the Flower-Grower
Ten golden rules for the beginning flower-grower!
1. Don't fill in them.
To roots is necessary not only water, but also air. Constantly rehumidified soil means a certain death for the majority of plants. Learn to water them correctly.
2. Give them the rest.
In the winter to all indoor plants is necessary to have the rest, i.e. it is necessary to water them less often less to feed up and contain at lower temperature, than during the period of active growth.
3. Reconcile with loss of some plants.
Such plants as Cyclamen, Chrysanthemum, etc., are often used as a gift, in some weeks inevitably wither. There is no your fault - all these kinds are calculated on time using.
4. Create damp atmosphere.
In the winter the air in the room with central heating is dry, as in desert. To increase humidity is possible with the help of spraying, grouping or "a double pot" (a pot with a plant place in other container filled with damp peat).
5. Take necessary measures in time.
Troubles happen both at skilful flower-growersand at beginners. One-two wreckers as soon as they have appeared is easy to destroy. When they have covered all plant with it is almost impossible to consult with them. Learn to distinguish the trouble at early stages.
6. Group the plants.
Almost all plants look better and better develop, when they form a group.
7. Learn to replace.
After year-two after acquisition the majority of plants lose appeal. More often the plant is just necessary to replace in large pot.
8.Choose plants correctly.
The plant should accept conditions which you can give to it. Even the skilled flower—grower cannot grow up a shade-loving plant on a solar window sill.
9. Get necessary stock.
For you is necessary to have the watering can, a sprayer, good earth, a set of pots, props and cords, a bottle of liquid fertilizers, antiseptics for pest control, and also a soft sponge, old plugs, spoons, etc.
10. Correctly look after each plant.
